Programme

Day 1: CITY WALK - DINNER

After your arrival your guide will welcome you for a short walk through the surrounding area. Afterwards you will have dinner at the hotel.

Day 2: BIG SIGHTSEEING TOUR

After breakfast you start off on the big city tour through Germany's capital. The tour takes you past popular attractions between East and West such as Kurfürstendamm, Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz or Potsdamer Platz. The afternoon is free for you to enjoy at your leisure.

Day 3: SHIP - HISTORIC NIKOLAI QUARTER - TV TOWER

Your tour guide will accompany you on a boat trip on the Spree through the historic centre of Berlin. From the water you will observe well-known sights such as the Reichstag, the government quarter or Museum Island from a new perspective. A guided tour will take you to the Nikolai Quarter, the cradle of Berlin, and to the TV tower, where you can enjoy your lunch at 207 metres above sea level with hopefully the best view. Afterwards you will have time to stroll around the city at your leisure.

Day 4: BERLIN WALL - CURRY SAUSAGE - BERLIN PUB

On an expert-led tour you will learn where the Berlin Wall stood. You will visit the Berlin Wall Memorial with original parts of the Wall and a piece of the death strip. The tour continues to Bornholmer Strasse, where the first GDR citizens were allowed to leave for West Berlin on 9 November 1989. Afterwards you can learn about life in East Germany in the "Everyday Life in the GDR" exhibition in the Kulturbrauerei. How about a curry sausage at Konnopke, the cult snack bar in Prenzlauer Berg? The day ends with a welcome schnapps and a typical Berlin buffet in a rustic pub near Ku'damm.

Day 5: DEPARTURE
